Mike's 1992 Biagini Passo - HCC Popups Feature

Last year, we were very excited when Mike from FCP Euro (@upstate_mike) hit us up for a pair of our Popup Foglights. We were even more excited - and a little confused - when he showed us the vehicle he'd be installing the popups on.

This is Mike's Biagini Passo. It's a wild Italian coach built Mk1 Golf Cabriolet with underpinnings from the four wheel drive chassis of a Mk2 Golf Country, with Fiat headlights, Opel taillights and many unique parts.

The Passo is arguably the world's first cabriolet crossover, and it's extremely rare.

It also has the raddest blue Recaros.

As a fellow connoisseur of quirky vehicles from the 80s and 90s, Mike had been on the lookout for a Biagini Passo for a good while. A deal to purchase one in Spain fell through, when a mint example popped up in a Swiss dealership. Without ever seeing it in person, Mike bought it and the Biagini began its fateful journey to the United States.

We love Mike's Biagini. It's rare and utterly bonkers. There are so many cool details on the Passo that set it apart from the base Mk1 Golf Cabriolet, and our popup foglights are a perfect period-correct accessory for it.

Get a set of our popups for your rad ride today.

Note: we have since updated the design and tooling of our popups to be more period correct and simpler to install! Mike's car is running our V2 Popups.
